- Hsu-nami -

If you've ever experienced the Hsu-nami live, you'd know that they really do have the energy to knock the wind out of you. With their distinctly hard but smooth sound, the band has begun to make a significant impression on the progressive rock scene, fusing hard metal rock underpinnings with the soothing, enchanting fluency of the traditional Asian instrument the Er-hu.

Jack Hsu, frontman for the band, commands the stage with a sustained confidence that when combined with the pounding fury of John Manna on drums, the zealous Brent Bergholm on lead guitar and Tony Aichele on rhythm guitar, make the Hsu-nami a blasting surge of vibrant synergy. Derril Sellers on bass and Dana Goldberg on the keys, round off the sound, polishing and almost taming the others' exuberance and completing the unique sound of the world's first Er-hu rock group. The final product— a charging symphony that could make anyone wanna throw their hands and bodies around a room. It's pretty clear that this band wants you "to fucking move!"
